Renowned Figures Gather in Pune to Shape the Future of Technology on a Global Scale
MIT Art Design & Technology University (MIT-ADT) recently served as the venue for the sixth national conference on ‘Innovative Global Technology Trends’, attracting distinguished personalities from academia, industry, and government sectors. Held at the university’s premises in Pune, the conference provided a platform for insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration aimed at shaping the future of technology on a global scale.
The keynote address was delivered by Padmashree Dr. Pralhad Ramrao, former Director of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Vice-Chancellor of S-Vyasa University, Bangalore. Dr. Ramrao underscored the necessity for Indian technology to extend its global influence amidst stiff competition, highlighting India’s achievements in space missions and missile technology. He stressed the importance of leveraging technology for societal advancement.
Eminent personalities such as Dr. Parag Kalkar, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, shared valuable insights into emerging technologies like AI and the Metaverse, along with discussing the role of government initiatives in nurturing innovation.
Prof. Dr. Sunita Karad, Executive Director of MIT-ADT University, reiterated the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and providing employment opportunities for startups and students.
In his presidential message, Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President and Vice-Chancellor of MIT-ADT University, emphasized responsible technology usage while encouraging researchers to contribute to India’s vision of a ‘Developed India@2047’.
