Maharashtra SSC Class 10 Exams Kick Off with Enhanced Security Measures

Amid anticipation and nerves, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education is all set to launch the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) class 10 examinations, starting on March 1, 2024, and concluding on March 26, 2024. This significant academic undertaking unfolds in two sessions, with the first from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and the second from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

In a departure from tradition, students facing the SSC class 10 examination will now receive an extra 10 minutes not at the beginning, but upon completion of the test. This alteration aims to provide students with a bit more time for reflection and review after finishing their examinations.

To safeguard the integrity of the examination process, Assistant Pari Rakshak teams have been deployed at examination centers, maintaining vigilant oversight over answer sheets. As a precautionary measure, GPS tracking has been implemented to ensure the secure transportation of exam materials. Additionally, district-level Bharari teams and State Board Bahari teams are actively involved in reinforcing security measures.

Acknowledging the stress that often accompanies exam periods, the board has appointed 10 counselors at the state level to offer guidance and support to students. These counselors aim to alleviate stress and promote mental well-being during the examination phase, recognizing the importance of both academic and emotional support.

This year’s enrollment figures have witnessed a notable surge, with 16,009,445 students registering for the SSC examinations, a significant increase from the 15,772,256 students registered the previous year. In response to this rise, security arrangements have been bolstered to maintain the sanctity and fairness of the examination process.
