A recent public notice, released on Friday, October 20, 2023, confirms that the deadline for applications for this scholarship program has been prolonged, with interested students now having until October 31 to apply. Notably, the original application deadline passed on October 18, with the application process opening in September.
The CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship offers financial assistance of Rs 500 per month for two years to eligible female students. To qualify, applicants must have passed the Secondary (Class 10) examination with a minimum of 60 percent marks and must currently be enrolled in Class 11. Furthermore, the monthly tuition fee for the student should not exceed Rs 1500 per month.
For Class 12 students who received this scholarship in Class 11, there is also an option for renewal, which requires the submission of a renewal application. The deadline for such renewals has also been extended to October 31, 2023.
