The British Council, the United Kingdom’s International Organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations, has unveiled the GREAT Scholarships worth Rs. 10.41 lakhs for Indian students pursuing post-graduation in the UK, starting from the autumn of 2024.
The scholarships cover a broad range of subjects, including Finance, Marketing, Business, Psychology, Design, Humanities, Dance, and more. Interested students can find detailed information and apply for the scholarships on the British Council’s official website: British Council GREAT Scholarships.
In addition to the general scholarships, the program has also introduced GREAT scholarships specifically for Justice and Law students in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice. This opens doors for Indian students interested in pursuing higher education in areas such as human rights, property law, criminal justice, commercial law, and related fields.
Furthermore, the program offers four Science and Technology Scholarships, covering a diverse range of subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Psychology, Sustainable Engineering, and more, providing Indian students with ample opportunities for advanced studies in these fields.
To be eligible for these scholarships, Indian students must obtain an entry form from one of the participating universities and meet the specific requirements and eligibility criteria for the chosen course. A total of 25 universities from the UK are participating, offering 26 post-graduate GREAT scholarships in collaboration with the UK Government’s GREAT Britain Campaign.
As part of this campaign, the scholarships are valued at a minimum of £10,000, which will be disbursed as tuition fees for a one-year post-graduate program during the academic year 2024-25.
