In a proud celebration of its 83rd Raising Day, the Army Dental Corps marked the occasion on February 1, 2024, with a commitment to oral health and unwavering service. Maj Gen Sujit Kumar Bhandari, Commandant Command Military Dental Centre (CMDC), and Command Dental Adviser, Southern Command, extended warm greetings to all serving personnel, their families, and veterans of the corps.
Established in 1941, the Army Dental Corps has evolved into an elite service within the Indian Armed Forces, boasting more than 750 officers and nearly two thousand five hundred other ranks. This dedicated force is entrusted with the responsibility of attending to the oral health requirements of soldiers, their dependents, and veterans. The dental treatment facilities operated by the corps prioritize preventive measures to address oral and dental health issues effectively.
The corps, guided by its mission “Reach the Soldiers,” remains committed to delivering preventive dental treatment services even in the remotest areas, ensuring the well-being of the nation’s brave hearts.
On the Raising Day celebration, Lt Gen Ajai Kumar Singh, GOC-in-C, Southern Command, expressed his admiration for the Army Dental Corps. He commended the officers and staff for their unstinted devotion to duty and unwavering commitment to providing dental care. Lt Gen Ajai Kumar Singh encouraged all members of the Army Dental Corps posted in the Southern Command zone to continue their outstanding services, extending best wishes for success in all their endeavors.
