Lava Set to Revolutionize Wearable Tech: AI-Enabled Smartwatch Launch Under Rs 4,000

Lava, the renowned Indian smartphone manufacturer, is venturing into the wearable tech space with the imminent launch of its first smartwatch. Tailored explicitly for the Indian market, this smartwatch is anticipated to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) features, marking a significant shift for Lava from its traditional portfolio of basic phones and smartphones.

The upcoming smartwatch is expected to be competitively priced, targeting a segment under Rs 4,000, making it an affordable and accessible option for consumers. While specific details about the smartwatch’s features are currently limited, the anticipation is high for Lava’s entry into the smartwatch arena.

The move puts Lava in direct competition with established smartwatch brands in India, including Fire-Boltt, Noise, and Boat. Lava’s foray into wearable technology aligns with the industry’s growing emphasis on smartwatches and fitness trackers, tapping into the rising demand for connected devices.

Lava’s recent launch of the Yuva 3 smartphone further demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding its product range. Positioned in the sub-Rs 7,000 price segment, the Yuva 3 offers an impressive combination of design and performance. Available in two storage variants (64GB and 128GB), the smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ punch-hole display and runs on a UNISOC T606 Octa-core processor with 4GB RAM.

Powered by a robust 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, the Yuva 3 boasts a 13MP triple AI rear camera setup and a 5MP front camera. Running on Android 13, the smartphone promises two years of security updates along with an upgrade to Android 14.

Lava’s strategic expansion into wearables and the imminent smartwatch launch signal its commitment to diversifying its product offerings and staying ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
