Pune Police Enhances Palkhi Ceremony Experience with GPS Tracking and Real-Time Traffic Updates
In an effort to enhance the annual Palkhi ceremony of Sant Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj, organizers have introduced a GPS tracking system this year. The revered palanquin procession, commencing from Shri Kshetra Alandi Devachi and Sri Kshetra Dehu, is set to arrive in Pune on Monday, June 12th.
To ensure the smooth flow of the procession and provide timely information to citizens and motorists, Pune Police has launched a dedicated webpage, diversion.punepolice.gov.in. This webpage serves as a comprehensive resource for updates on the Palkhi route, closed and open roads, as well as the precise location of the palanquins. Pune Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr encourages citizens to access the webpage through their mobile devices or laptops, enabling them to stay well-informed and make informed decisions to avoid traffic congestion during the departure of the Palakhi.
