Workplace Dispute Turns Violent as Pune Employee Assaults Boss Over WhatsApp Removal

Pune, Maharashtra: In a startling incident at Insta Go Private Limited on Old Mundhwa Road, a workplace dispute took a violent turn when an employee allegedly assaulted his boss after being removed from the office WhatsApp group. The incident unfolded on December 1, prompting the victim, identified as Amol Seshrao Dhoble, the company owner, to file a complaint with the local police station.

The accused, identified as Satyam Shingvi, who was also an employee at Insta Go Private Limited, now faces charges under four distinct sections of the penal code. Police authorities have acknowledged previous complaints against Shingvi by multiple customers and concerns about his behavior. Despite attempts to address these issues, there was no observed improvement, leading Dhoble to take the step of excluding him from the office WhatsApp group.

In response to his removal from the group, Shingvi confronted his boss and sought an explanation for the exclusion. The confrontation escalated when Shingvi entered the office wielding a bamboo stick, physically assaulting Dhoble and causing damage to his iPhone. The police are actively investigating the case to determine the appropriate course of action.
