Chalisgaon: A police officer working in the Mumbai Police Force who had come to the village for Makar Sankranti vacation was brutally killed by a few people due to an argument that erupted between them while playing cricket. In this case, police have registered a complaint against an unknown accused and detained four people so far.
The deceased police officer is identified as Shubham Arjun Agone. Agone is 28 years old, and he is a resident of Chalisgaon. Agone was currently working in the Mumbai Police Force.
Recently, due to the Makarsankrant festival, Agone had come to the village for vacation. On Sunday, January 14, he went to play cricket matches organised in Ozar in Chalsigaon taluka. At that time, he had an argument with a few people during a cricket match.
With anger over this thing in mind, a few people targeted Shubham Agone on Patna Road with swords in their hands in the evening. In the evening, the accused stabbed him brutally with swords, injuring him seriously in the assault.
After getting information about it, the police immediately rushed to the spot; however, the accused managed to flee from the scene until the arrival of the police. After that, police immediately shifted the victim to a nearby hospital; however, doctors declared him dead during the examination.
In the subsequent investigation, Chalisgaon police detained four accused in this case.
