Stalking Takes a Dark Turn: The Chilling Tale of TV Anchor’s Abduction in Hyderabad

In an unusual and disturbing incident, a 31-year-old businesswoman from Hyderabad has been arrested for allegedly stalking and abducting a television music channel anchor, all in a misguided attempt to force him into marriage.

The Strange Saga Unfolds: Bhogireddy Trishna’s Unrequited Love

Bhogireddy Trishna, a digital marketing business owner, reportedly fixated on TV anchor Pranav Sistla after discovering his photos on a matrimony website two years ago. Despite Pranav’s clarification that a fake account misused his pictures, Trishna persisted in her pursuit.

Undeterred by Pranav’s rejection and blocking of her number, Trishna took drastic measures. Allegedly hiring four individuals, she orchestrated the abduction of the TV anchor, subjecting him to physical assault at her office on February 11. Fearful for his safety, Pranav acquiesced to Trishna’s demands, only then being released by his captors.

Legal Action Unfolds: Charges and Arrests

Following his harrowing experience, Pranav filed a complaint with the Uppal police station, resulting in the registration of a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including kidnapping, wrongful restraint, and wrongful confinement.

During the investigation, the police apprehended Trishna, along with the four men she allegedly hired for the abduction. Assistant Commissioner of Police, K Purushotham Reddy, stated, “Using the technical evidence, the case is registered, and she will be sent to court.”

The strange case has left the community puzzled, shedding light on the darker side of unrequited love and obsession.
