Shuffling the Shield: Maharashtra Police Inspector Transfers Shake Up Pune Commissionerate

In a significant administrative move, the state Home Department of Maharashtra has executed the transfer of 449 police inspectors, bringing about a major reshuffle in the police force. Among these transfers, 113 police inspectors were relocated based on their own requests, while 336 inspectors were transferred upon completion of their tenure. Additionally, a few inspectors have been granted extensions in their current postings. The recent transfer activity has specifically impacted the Pune Commissionerate, witnessing the transfer of 12 police inspectors out of the jurisdiction, while welcoming 34 inspectors from various parts of the state to serve in Pune.

Transferred Police Inspectors from Pune Commissionerate:

  1. PI Ajit Shankar Lakde, previously stationed at Pune city’s Mundhwa police station, has been transferred to Pimpri Chinchwad.
  2. PI Rajkumar Dattatray Waghchavre, previously serving in Pune city, has been relocated to Solapur city.
  3. PI Jagannath Gnanadeo Kalaskar, who was part of Pune city’s Special Branch, has been transferred to Thane city.
  4. PI Ashok Anandrao Kadam, formerly posted in Pune city, has been assigned to Pimpri Chinchwad.
  5. PI Shankar Shahu Khatke, formerly serving in Pune city, has been transferred to Nashik city.
  6. PI Manisha Sanjay Zende, previously stationed in Pune city, has been reassigned to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
  7. PI Kavidas Suresh Jambhle, formerly serving in Pune city, has been posted at the Police Training Centre in Nanvij.
  8. PI Gajanan Shankar Pawar, who was stationed at Pune city’s Lonikand police station, has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
  9. PI Sangeeta Kishor Yadav, previously stationed at Pune city’s Khadak police station, has been reassigned to the CID.
  10. PI Vaishali Laxman Chandgude, formerly a part of Pune city’s PCB (Crime Branch), will now serve in the State Intelligence Department (SID).
  11. PI Mahendra Jayvantrao Jagtap, formerly serving in Pune city, has been relocated to Satara.
  12. PI Brahmanand Raosaheb Naikwadi, previously stationed in Pune city, has been reassigned to the CID.

Police Inspectors Granted Extension:

  1. PI Rauf Abdul Rehman Shaikh, previously serving in Pune city, has been granted an extension in his current posting.
  2. PI Krishna Vishnu Indalkar, formerly stationed in Pune city, has also received an extension.
  3. PI DL Chavan, previously posted at Pune city’s Loni Kalbhor police station, has been granted an extension.
