Rajdhani Express Heist: Railway Police Apprehend Juveniles With 82 Stolen Mobile Phones

In a significant breakthrough, the Railway Police Force (RPF) detained two juveniles on December 8 and seized a cache of 82 stolen mobile phones from them aboard the 12433 Chennai-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express.

According to a statement from the official X handle of Central Railway, “In a major action, RPF Nagpur apprehended 2 Juveniles from 12433 Chennai-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express B-9 coach with 82 stolen mobile phones on 8/12/23. The train was checked at Nagpur railway station by RPF staff & found 4 trolley bags near Katol station with 82 stolen mobiles. The suspected 2 juveniles deboarded from the train at Amla station with the stolen property & were handed over to Government Railway Police (GRP) Amla for further legal action.”

The juveniles had concealed the stolen mobile phones in four bags, placing them discreetly under their seats in the Rajdhani Express. Acting on suspicion, RPF officials questioned the youths at Nagpur railway station, leading to the discovery of the stolen property.

Further investigations by the police revealed that the incident was a case of theft. The authorities are currently delving into the matter to uncover more details surrounding the heist.
