Pune: In a tragic incident that unfolded on Sunday night, November 5, a young man named Krishna Shelke lost his life after being brutally stabbed by a gang of four individuals while he and his friends were standing in the night along the old Pune-Mumbai highway. The incident has raised concerns about rising crime rates and incidents of violence in Pune.
The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. when Shelke, along with two friends, had parked his vehicle along the highway. At that time, four unknown individuals approached them and initiated an argument by questioning the reason for their stop at that point. This verbal altercation quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, resulting in one of the four assailants pulling out a knife and stabbing Shelke in the chest.
Shelke sustained severe injuries in the incident and eventually succumbed to those injuries. Meanwhile, the assailants fled the scene after the incident.
In this regard, a complaint has been promptly registered at Talegaon Dabhade police station against the four individuals involved in this tragic incident. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the case. Meanwhile, due to this incident, there was confusion in the area of the highway for some time.
