Pune: Two arrested for assaulting crane operator’s employees and misbehaving with traffic policewomen

PUNE: The Vishrambaug police arrested two persons for assaulting two employees of a crane operator after they were told to take away their car parked in a no parking area and for misbehaving with policewomen.

The accused have been identified as Nagesh Baban Londhe (29), a resident of Dhanori-Lohegaon Road and Amol Maloji Dhonge (29), a resident of Solapur district. Their accomplice ran away. Policewomen working in Vishrambaug Traffic Department have lodged a complaint (159/23) at the Vishrambaug police station. The incident took place near Shaniwarwada on Monday at 7.45 pm.

According to the police, the complainants were on crane duty. Ganesh Parkale and Lakhan Shedge were with them. When they came near Shaniwarwada, they saw that a car had been parked in a no-parking area. The car driver was told to take away his vehicle. The driver of the car blocked the crane with his vehicle and abused them. 

Ganesh Parkale, who came to help them, was assaulted. One of the driver’s accomplices came with a huge stone. Ganesh Parkale’s head was banged on the wall and was assaulted in his eye. The police, who came to help them, arrested the two accused but their accomplice managed to escape. PSI Salunkhe is probing the case.
