Pune: Sickle gang creates terror in Sahakar Nagar; Police arrest eight goons and detain two minors

PUNE: An incident of a sickle gang creating terror in Taljai area of Sahakar Nagar by displaying its muscle power has taken place. The Sahakar Nagar police have arrested eight persons and apprehended two minor boys. A few days ago, a gang of criminals had vandalised 26 vehicles in Taljai Vasahat.

Mauli Shinde (19), a resident of Taljai Vasahat, has lodged a complaint at the Sahakar Nagar police station. An FIR has been registered against 10 persons. The accused have been identified as Mayur Rangnath Arde (19), Rohan alias Gaisonya Raju Arde (21), Hrishikesh alias Barkya Sanjay Londhe (23), Jayesh alias Jaydya Datta Dhavre (18), Vrishabh Shankar Kamble (23), Aniket alias Guddu Ravindra Shinde (24), Akash Manoj Dakle (23), Aditya alias Sandy Padmakar Dakle (20).

According to the police, Mauli Shinde and his friend were standing in Taljai Vasahat on July 5 at 12.15 am. A gang of 10 to 12 people displaying sickles arrived there and vandalised a small shop and abused the local residents. They also threatened them that they would be killed if they tried to oppose them.
