Club at Ishanya Mall

Pune: Pune District Collector Suhas Diwase has issued a stern warning to clubs operating without authorisation after a club at Ishanya Mall in Yerwada was found serving alcohol despite being sealed by the excise department. A joint raid by the excise department and Yerwada police led to legal action against the establishment.

Diwase emphasized that clubs found operating illegally would face severe consequences, including license revocation and legal action. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar announced plans for a meeting with the excise department to review club operations, stressing the need for collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance.

Meanwhile, a hotel association representative expressed frustration over the closures, citing significant financial losses and calling for fair enforcement across the industry.
