Pune: Rs 2 crore fraud by one in plot sale in Yerawada area, case registered against two

Pune: A case has been registered against two persons in Yerawada police station for cheating of Rs 2 crore by showing an empty plot and selling another plot. The incident took place between November 2022 and January 2023 at Mohanwadi, Yerawada.

The name of the two persons who filed an FIR are Imran Maula Sheikh a resident of Yerawada, Mansoor Maqsood Qureshi a resident of Vadgaon Sheri in Pune. Mukesh Jagdish Goyal (51) a resident of Dhanori has filed a complaint in Yerawada police station. Police have registered an FIR under IPC sections 420 and 34 against Sheikh and Qureshi.

According to the information given by the police, the accused told the complainant that Mohanwadi City Survey no.Plot No.2762/30 adjacent to Plot No.34. The complainant was believed by saying that vacant plot number 35 is plot number 34. He also took Rs 1.95 crore and bought them fertilizer.But in anticipation, the building of Moti Tower is standing on plot number 34. The accused cheated the complainant by selling another plot without selling the plot shown by them. Upon realising the fraud the complainant filed a complaint. After investigating the accused, the police have registered a case against Sheikh and Qureshi. Further investigation is being conducted by assistant police inspector Sonwane
