Pune: A psychiatrist visited the clinic of a woman doctor and molested her and misbehaved with her. The incident took place at the woman doctor’s clinic between August 2023 and May 17, 2024. A case of molestation has been registered against the psychiatrist by the Wanawadi Police.
The 46-year-old woman doctor lodged a complaint at the Wanawadi Police Station on Friday. The accused is a professor in the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) and has been identified as Colonel Dr Prateek Yadav. He has been booked under sections 354, 354 (a) of the IPC.
According to the police, the accused told the complainant that she had done something wrong with him. He was her doctor and she did not trust him. She was levelling false allegations against him. Then he embraced and kissed her.
When the accused entered the complainant’s clinic, the latter said, “When I visit your clinic, your behaviour is normal but when you visit my clinic, you misbehave with me.” This upset the accused and he molested her by making obscene gestures and uttering words that ashamed her, stated the complaint.
