Pune: A sex racket being run under the guise of a spa was busted in the upmarket Koregaon Park. Three young women from Nagaland, West Bengal were lured into prostitution.
Two women have been booked under sections 370, 34 of the IPC and provisions of the Human Trafficking Prevention Act of 2022 while three young women have been rescued, who hail from Nagaland, West Bengal and Pune.
Sapna Dilip Jadhav lodged a complaint at the Koregaon Park Police Station in this regard. The action was taken at Viva Spa in Lane Number 7 in Koregaon Park on Monday evening.
The Koregaon Police came to know that the racket was being run on the third floor of Harmesh Vishal building at Viva Spa. They sent a decoy customer to the spa and confirmed the inputs. They then raided the centre. The two accused women lured the three young women into prostitution with the promise of more money. Thus, the accused were earning money through the illegal business.
Sr PI Ashwini Satpute is investigating further.
