Pune: Pet dog let loose on MSEDCL employees for trying to disconnect power supply on Prabhat Road

PUNE: Women employees of MSEDCL who had gone to the elite Prabhat Road area for disconnecting the power connection of a family, which had not paid its bills, were taken aback when the family’s pet dog was let loose on them. They were also confined on the staircase.
In this connection, MSEDCL’s senior technician Karuna Vijay Adhari has lodged a complaint at the Deccan police station.

Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Lalit Bondre and Arti Lalit Bondre, residents of Saraswati Apartment, Lane Number three, Prabhat Road. The incident took place on Wednesday from 3.15 pm to 4.30 pm.

According to the police, Bondre had pending dues of ₹10,000. As per instructions of senior officials, the complainant and her colleagues went to Bondre’s house for recovering pending dues. When they started disconnecting the power connection of the flat, the Bondre couple abused them and let loose their pet dog on them. The complainant and her colleagues were confined to the staircase and obstructed government work. Hence, the police have registered an FIR and PSI Ganesh More is investigating the case.
