Pune: A person who resides in the same locality allegedly entered the house of a woman at night and molested her by mistreating her. This shocking incident came to light after a victim woman lodged a police complaint against the accused, identified as Bhimrao Sugriv Devmundhe (age 29), a resident of Kondhwa Budruk, Pune, at Kondhwa police station.
The woman took the matter to the Kondhwa Police Station on Sunday, November 26, following the early-night mistreatment of her by the accused. Taking note of her complaint, Kondhwa Police registered a complaint against the perpetrator under IPC 35 and 354 A.
As per the police complaint, the accused and the victim reside in the same locality. On shocking Friday night, the perpetrator, Bhimrao Devmundhe, forcibly entered the houses of the victim at around 11 p.m. and started persuading her for marriage. He repeatedly convinced her of a marriage with her.
Shockingly, when the woman resisted complying with his demands, he went on to abuse her and also subjected her to shocking assault by mistreating her. The aggrieved woman filed a formal complaint against the accused at the Kondhwa Police Station the next day after the occurrence. Police Sub-inspector Birajdar from Kondhwa Police Station is actively pursuing the case with the intention of bringing justice to the victim.
