Pune: The directors of Amit Enterprises Housing Limited find themselves at the centre of a major scandal as a case has been registered against them and bank officials for alleged fraud and deceit. The complaint, filed by Amit Baban Beldare, exposes a web of connivance and wrongdoing that transpired between December 2006 and January 31, 2024.

The complainant, a resident of Indrayani Niwas, Ambegaon Budruk, Pune, alleges that the accused directors, including Kishore Govind Pate and Rajendra Govind Pate, took land for development under the guise of a legitimate agreement. However, it is claimed that the conditions outlined in the development agreement and the Attorney General’s letter were not honoured.

In a startling revelation, the accused are accused of mortgaging the acquired land to a bank and securing a loan of a staggering 63 crores and 95 lakhs without fulfilling the terms of the development agreement. The complaint further asserts that the accused misled the plaintiff and failed to carry out any development on the said land.

The legal action, filed at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station, cites violations under IPC Sections 409, 420, and 506 against the directors and officers of Amit Enterprises Housing Limited, SKP Corp Limited, Kishore Pate, and others. Bank officials from the State Bank of India Industrial Finance Bank, Wakdewadi, are also implicated in the case under Section 34.

The accused, identified as partners in the firm Amit Enterprises, allegedly abused the trust of the plaintiff’s family, taking advantage of their association to execute their fraudulent scheme. The complaint suggests that the accused not only failed to fulfil their obligations but also resorted to threatening tactics when questioned about their actions.

As the case unfolds, Police Sub-Inspector Patil of Crime Branch Unit Four is leading the investigation to uncover the depth of the alleged fraud.
