Pune: Man who did not get security guard’s job, sets woman’s car on fire; Incident takes place in Yewalewadi

PUNE: A man who wanted the job of a security guard with a contractor of a government institution, set a car belonging to the concerned woman on fire. Neerajdevi Virendrasingh Yadav (40), a resident of Yewalewadi, has lodged a complaint with the Kondhwa police. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Rohit Patil. The incident took place on July 12, 2023 at 5 am.

The complainant is a partner of a security agency. Her agency has appointed security guards at Bandorwala Government Leprosy Hospital located at Yewalewadi. When she was in Bhusawal on July 11, a man named Rohit Patil called her and asked for a job. She told him that there was no vacancy at present and he will be informed where a need arises. He told her to give him ₹500 on GooglePay. When she refused, he told her that he would set her car on fire. Then, he was waiting near the leprosy hospital.

On July 12 at 5 am, the complainant’s car was parked near the main gate of the hospital. Rohit Patil set it on fire.
