Pune: Frustrated with Wife’s Arguments, Man Sets Fire to Mother-in-Law’s Bike; 14 Vehicles Damaged in Blaze

Pune: Due to his frustration with constant arguments with his wife, an individual from Uttamnagar set fire to his mother-in-law’s bike on Wednesday. However, in this incident, nearby 14 vehicles were also gutted in the fire, and vehicles were extensively damaged. This incident took place on Wednesday, May 1, in the parking space of the Corporation Building at Vadgaon Budruk around 2.15 p.m.

In this regard, a 42-year-old woman has filed a complaint against Ganesh Dinkar Dahibhate, age 35, a resident near Vitthal Mandir, Uttamnagar, Pune, at Sinhagad Road police station.

As per the police information, the accused Ganesh and his wife have disputes between them. Out of anger over this argument, the accused came to the in-laws’ house on Wednesday afternoon. In the afternoon hours on Wednesday, the accused set fire to his Mother-in-laws vehicles, parked at the parking space of the building, in anger.

As a result, 14 other bikes parked nearby also caught fire. In this incident, a total of 15 bikes, including the plaintiff and 14 others, have been burned. Further investigation is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Malusare.

On getting the information about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police Circle-3 Sambhaji Kadam, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhimrao Tale, Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumbhar, Police Inspector Crime Raghavendra Singh Kshirsagar, Police Sub-Inspector Suresh Jaybhayas, and Police Sub-Inspector Malusare visited the spot.
