PIMPRI: The Talegaon MIDC police and officials of unit five of the Crime Branch arrested four persons and detained a minor boy who were getting ready to commit a dacoity in the limits of Talegaon MIDC police in the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. The police have seized three pistols, six live cartridges, an iron sickle and six mobiles from them.
The arrested accused have been identified as Neeraj Bhikamsingh Sen, Yogesh Sarang Mahor, Sunil Omiprakash Mahor, Shyamsingh Munnilal Koli. A minor boy has been apprehended.
According to the police, officials of unit five of the Crime Branch and Talegaon MIDC police station came to know that a team of five persons were waiting at the base of Bhandara fort in Dehu area and were preparing to commit a dacoity. They reached the spot and arrested the accused after laying a trap.
The accused were waiting on the road going towards Sudvadi village near the arch at the base of Bhandara fort. When they were searched, sickles, pistols, live cartridges and mobiles were found and the items have been seized. The accused said they were going to commit a dacoity but they were arrested by the police. The action was taken by PI Manoj Khandale of unit five of Crime Branch and senior PI of Talegaon MIDC police station Ranjeet Sawant and their teams.
