PUNE: An FIR has been registered against Dr Ameet Kasturilal Luthra, a resident of A/203, Marvel Plaza, Airport Road, Viman Nagar), for making fake signatures of his wife (a doctor) and misappropriating money of his wife and taking crores of rupees and gold and silver ornaments and threatening to throw his wife out of their residence based on a complaint lodged by his wife at the Vimantal police station under sections 420, 406, 465, 498-A and 34 of the IPC. Dr Luthra’s brother Rajiv Kasturilal Luthra, a resident of A/203, Marvel Plaza, Airport Road, Viman Nagar has also been made a co-accused in the FIR.
The complainant and Dr Ameet had got married on May 20, 2011. At the time of marriage, he accepted a Honda City car, 15 gold biscuits (each biscuit of 10 tolas), silver utensil weighing 2 kg, a gold chain of 5 tolas, diamond ring and had demanded and accepted various items worth ₹1 crore. Dr Ameet harassed his wife to bring ₹50 lakh from her parents’ house for starting a new business. When his wife sought details of his expenditure, he harassed her physically and mentally and asked her to leave the house.
Dr Amit also made fake signatures of his wife to misappropriate his wife’s money from the clinic of Life Berries Health Pvt Ltd and cheated her, states the complaint lodged by his wife. Ad Vijaysingh Thombre and Ad Rupali Patil Thombre are representing the complainant.
Ad Vijaysingh Thombre said that this is not just a case of family dispute and Dr Ameet Luthra had misappropriated the money from the business which was set up jointly with his wife and hence, it is a very serious matter.
