Pune: Faraskhana Police Foil Kidnapping Plot, Arrest Two Women Involved

Pune: Faraskhana Police did commendable work by rescuing a six-year-old boy who was kidnapped by two women from the Budhwar Peth area. While rescuing the boy, police also apprehended two women and revealed that both women kidnapped the boy over their family dispute.

The arrested women have been identified as Nazma Bilal Shaikh (41) and Renu Dilip Rathod (41), and both are residents of the Budhwar Peth area. They abducted the boy on April 4, due to the ongoing family dispute.

As soon as the Faraskhana police received a complaint in this regard, a team of Faraskhana police officers such as Vaibhav Swami, Praveen Pasalkar, Sumeet Khutte, Sandeep Kamble, and Rakesh Kshirsagar immediately swung into action. They searched the CCTV footage of the area and found that two women were carrying the abducted child from Rikshaw.

After noting the rikshaw number, police detained the rikshaw driver and interrogated him about it. During the interrogation, police learned that two women took the child to the Swargate area. During the subsequent investigation, police were able to detain Nazma Shaikh, one of the accused, from the Budhwar Peth area.

When she was interrogated, she informed that she had kept the child with her partner, Renu Rathod. Accordingly, police detained both the women and relieved the boy from their clutches.
