Pune: DCP Smartana Patil Cracks Down on Criminals, Enforces Fugitive Law Against Offenders

Pune: In a decisive move aimed at curbing criminal activities in Pune, Circle-2 Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil has taken stringent action under fugitive law against two criminals, including a woman, across the Lashkar and Bharti Vidyapeeth police station jurisdictions.

The individuals apprehended in the operation have been identified as Suvarna Bharat Jadhav 45, a resident of 2356, New Modikhana, Camp, Pune, within the purview of Lashkar Police Station, and Ashish Dhamendra Pradhan 20, residing in Anjani Nagar, Katraj, falling under Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.

Deputy Commissioner Patil’s proactive stance aims to instil a sense of apprehension among criminals with a history of serious offences, including burglary, vandalism, assault, illegal weapon possession, intimidation, and other unlawful activities. By invoking the fugitive law, Patil seeks to deter criminal elements and safeguard public safety in the city.

Under the stern measures implemented by Deputy Commissioner Patil, both Suvarna Bharat Jadhav and Ashish Dhamendra Pradhan have been prohibited from entering Pune city, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the wider Pune district limits.

This action against criminals has been taken with the help of law enforcement authorities in collaboration with Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Pravin Pawar, and Upper Commissioner of Police Pravin Patil.
