PUNE: Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar issued orders that action should be taken against a gang of criminals creating terror in the Tadiwala Road area under MCOCA. After assuming charge as police commissioner, Ritesh Kumar has acted against 44 criminal gangs.
The criminals have been identified as Sangharsh alias Bhavya Nitin Adsul (21), Sahil Raju Waghmare alias Kharkhar Sonya (22), Atul Shripad Mhaskar alias Sonu Parmar (22), all residents of Tadiwala Road, Pune station. Last month, Adsul and his aides had brutally assaulted a youth who was seriously injured. In this connection, Adsul and his aides Waghmare and Mhaskar had been arrested. Four FIRs are registered against Adsul, Waghmare and Mhaskar.
They had formed a gang in the Tadiwala Road area and had created terror. Sr PI Santosh Sonawane of Bund Garden police station had prepared a proposal of taking action against the gang under MCOCA. The proposal had been sent to Addl CP Pravin Kumar Patil and DCP Smartana Patil. The proposal was checked and orders were issued that action should be taken against them under MCOCA.
