Pune: A young man who created terror by showing fear of a pistol and koyta was arrested by the team of Narayangaon police station and Pune Rural local crime branch on Wednesday, August 23 in night.
The information was given by assistant police inspector Mahadev Shelar of Narayangaon police station. Anil Sunil Jadhav (20) a resident of Thakarvasti at Warulwadi in Junnar has been arrested in this case.
Shelar further informed, “At around 11 pm on Wednesday the police team received information that Jadhav was creating fear and terror among the people by showing pistol and koyta on the road leading to Thakarwadi in Warulwadi. We realising the seriousness of the situation our team and Pune Rural local crime branch immediately reached the spot and arrested Jadhav. We seized pistol and revolver from his possession. On examination, the pistol was found to be fake. Our preliminary investigation has revealed that Jadhav used to do such act in order to create terror and he inspired by seeing the koyta gang video on social media.”
The action was initiated under the guidance of superintendent of police Ankit Goyal, upper superintendent of police Mitesh Ghatte, deputy divisional police officer Ravindra Chaudhary by police inspector of local crime branch Pune Rural Avinash Shilimkar, assistant police inspector Mahadev Shelar, faujdar Vinod Dhurve, constables of criminal investigation department Deepak Sable, Sandeep Vare, Akshay Navale, Mangesh Lokhande, Shailesh Waghmare and Datta Dhembare.
