Hadapsar Police Crack Two-Wheeler Theft Cases, Recover Stolen Assets

Hadapsar, Pune: In a significant achievement, the Detection Branch (DB) of Hadapsar Police Station successfully solved cases of two-wheeler theft, including burglary, and managed to recover all stolen assets, providing a sense of relief to the affected community.

On January 23, 2024, between 01:00 am to 06:30 am, the residence of Omkar Vilas Jagtap in Phursungi, Pune, was targeted by an unidentified individual who forcibly entered the premises by breaking the door lock. This led to the theft of items valued at Rs 3,40,700, including gold jewellery, a diamond ring, cash, and other materials. Subsequently, a case was registered under sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the unknown culprit.

The dedicated team led by Assistant Police Inspector Arjun Kudale, Police Sub-Inspector Avinash Shinde, and officers Anirudh Sonwane, Prashant Dudhaal, and Nikhil Pawar initiated an investigation using CCTV footage obtained from the crime scene. Through confidential information gathered by the DB and careful analysis of CCTV footage, the suspects were identified as Rishikesh Santosh Mote, Pradeep Bhagwat Paul, and Krishna Bhima Paval.

Upon detaining and interrogating the suspects, all three were found to be involved in the crime and were subsequently arrested. In police custody, 100 per cent of the stolen property valued at Rs 3,40,700 was recovered from accused Rishikesh Mote.

Furthermore, a Hero Passion Pro Motorcycle worth Rs. 50,000 and two other stolen vehicles worth Rs. 1,50,000 were discovered during the extended investigation, solving a total of three crimes. The cumulative value of the recovered assets amounts to Rs. 5,40,700.

This successful resolution was executed under the guidance of DCP (Zone 5) R Raja, ACP (Hadapsar division) Ashwini Rakh, and Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke, who is in charge of Hadapsar police station. Their coordinated efforts showcase the commitment of the Hadapsar Police to ensure the safety and security of the community.
