12 Individuals Booked After Youth Robbed at Gunpoint in Pune’s Fursungi

In a distressing incident, a young man was robbed at gunpoint by a group of individuals in Fursungi, Pune. The robbery occurred on Chandvadi Canal Road in Fursungi’s Chandanwadi area late on Thursday night. According to the victim’s complaint, 12 individuals who arrived in cars and on motorcycles were involved in the robbery.

The victim, identified as Sainath Ankush Shedage, a 25-year-old resident of Karve Nagar in Hadapsar, reported the incident to the local police station. The robbery took place at approximately 8:00 pm on Thursday, leaving the victim traumatized.

According to the police, Shedage was riding his motorbike on Chandvadi Canal Road when the robbers intercepted him. They forcefully stopped him, brandishing pistols, and proceeded to rob him. The assailants, after intimidating Shedage, took away his wallet containing Rs. 5,500 in cash, along with his PAN card and Aadhar card, both of which were in his pants pockets.

To further exacerbate the victim’s fear, the robbers issued threats, warning him not to report the incident to anyone, under the threat of harm. Given the gravity of the crime, the local crime branch team has also been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
