PUNE: DCP of zone 2 Smartana Patil has externed five criminals who are on police records. After a proposal was received from the police station, the action was taken. The five criminals have been externed from Pune city, Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune district.
The criminals who have been externed have been identified as Anil Mahadev Chandne (40), a resident of Taljai Vasahat, Harshad Rajendra Deshmukh (25), a resident of Dhankawadi, Shubham Deepak alias Natthu Bhorekar (26), a resident of Ambegaon Budruk, Datta Rahul Kadam (22), a resident of Ambegaon Khurd, Kiran Parshuram Bhandare (20), a resident of Ambegaon Khurd.
Officials of the concerned police station had sent a proposal of externment to DCP Smartana Patil to keep a check on criminals. The criminals have committed various offences like murder, attempt to murder, extortion, riots, robbery, harbouring sharp weapons, burglary, violating externment order, damaging property etc.
Action was taken after the proposal was examined. Officials of zone 2 have externed 35 criminals so far according to sections 55 and 56 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
The action was taken under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil by DCP Smartana Patil. The police said that such action will continue against criminals.
