A woman in Pune’s Karvenagar area found herself at the center of a distressing incident as she was reportedly assaulted by a suspect identified as Akash Shinde. The altercation, stemming from alleged romantic entanglements, resulted in physical harm to the victim.
According to sources, the accused, Akash Shinde, was romantically involved with both the complainant and her friend simultaneously. When confronted by the complainant regarding his apparent infidelity, Shinde’s response allegedly turned violent, leading to the assault.
The complainant, a resident of Karvenagar, had been in a relationship with Shinde. However, upon discovering his dual romantic engagements, she confronted him about the matter. This confrontation escalated into a physical altercation during which the complainant sustained an injury near her eyebrow, reportedly inflicted by a ring worn by Shinde.
In response to the victim’s report, Alankar Police took prompt action, registering a First Information Report (FIR) against Akash Shinde. The charges filed against him include Sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 506 (2) (criminal intimidation), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
As the investigation into the case progresses, authorities are working to gather evidence and testimonies to ascertain the sequence of events and bring about justice for the victim.
