WWA Lit-fest Season 3: A Celebration of Literary Excellence by Army Wives in Pune

The third installment of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) Literary Festival, AWWA Lit-fest Season 3, commenced with enthusiasm at the Rajendra Sinhji Institute in Pune. Archana Pande, President of AWWA, inaugurated the event, which is being organized by the talented women of the Southern Command AWWA, led by their Ex-Officio Regional President, Mrs. Subeena Arora. Scheduled from October 27th to 29th, 2023, Abhivyakti -3 promises to captivate literature enthusiasts and guests alike.

This literary initiative was first launched by Central AWWA in New Delhi in 2021, with the aim of providing a platform for Indian Army Wives to showcase their literary talents. The inaugural season was a resounding success, leading to the second season held in Jaipur last year.

This year’s AWWA Literary Festival, themed “Transition, Transience, and Transformation,” aligns with AWWA’s overarching theme, “On Path to The Transformation.” The chosen theme aims to take people on a journey from an idea to a story and eventually to the big screen, inspiring, stimulating ideas, and fostering engaging conversations.

Under this theme, the Southern Star AWWA community has curated a diverse lineup of emerging and established authors, poets, writers, bloggers, and publishers. They will engage in thought-provoking conversations, panel discussions, talks, and literary workshops, offering ample opportunities for contemplation and inspiration. An Entrepreneurial Exhibition will also showcase the multifaceted skills and talents of Army Wives, in line with AWWA’s objectives of Asha, Vishwas, and Astha.

Archana Pande, President AWWA, acknowledged the substantial contributions of Mrs. Subeena Arora and the Southern Star AWWA community, praising their dedication in making the third season a resounding success. She also commended their efforts in attracting renowned authors, celebrity guests, and panelists for engaging interactions. Abhivyakti Season 3 is committed to nurturing a love for literature within the community and promoting literary pursuits.

The event will also feature cultural performances, including theater and folk presentations by nationally acclaimed groups such as Jashn-e-kalam and Beat by Beat, adding an extra layer of vibrancy to this engaging literary festival.
