Water Supply Interruption in Southern Pune for Urgent Repair Work

Pune – Residents in the southern parts of Pune are set to face a temporary water supply cut tomorrow as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) gears up for crucial repair works on overhead tanks in the Parvati area. The affected regions, including localities along Satara Road, Sahakarnagar, parts of Kondhwa, Bibwewadi, Indiranagar, and Katraj, will experience low-pressure supply, with normalcy expected to resume on Friday morning.

The scheduled repair works encompass multiple aspects, including water pumping mechanisms, power supply systems, and civil infrastructure. As a result, officials anticipate a significant impact on water supply during the maintenance period.

Residents residing along Nehru Road, including Dias Plot, Mukundnagar, and Maharshinagar, are advised that they will also experience a disruption in water supply on Thursday.

Officials from the PMC have assured residents that the interruption is necessary to conduct essential repairs, emphasizing the importance of addressing the identified issues promptly. They further clarified that the water supply in other areas of the city and the Bhama Askhed project will remain unaffected, providing relief to residents outside the maintenance zone.
