Water Supply Interruption in Pune: Maintenance Work to Impact Parts of the City on February 29

Residents in certain parts of Pune City are advised to brace for a temporary halt in water supply on February 29, 2024, owing to crucial maintenance work. The maintenance activities include the installation of a new water tank in Kusmade Vasti and the construction of Thakarsi Dam, aiming to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the city’s water infrastructure.

The impending interruption in water supply is necessitated by the need for swift repairs and upgrades to ensure the continued smooth functioning of the water distribution system. Additionally, on March 1, 2024, residents can expect the resumption of water supply, albeit with potential delays and reduced pressure.

Areas Affected by Flow Water Meter Installation Work: The maintenance work will primarily impact the following areas:

  1. Near Bhama Askhed Project Thakarsi Tank:
    • Adarshnagar, Kalyaninagar, Harinagar, Ramwadi, Shastrinagar.
  2. Areas Around Water Channel:
    • Ganeshnagar, Jadhav Settlement, Vishal area, Kalas, Malwadi, Mhaske settlement area, Tingrenagar pump to Vishrantwadi Chowk, Jayjawan Nagar, Jai Prakashnagar, Sanjay Park, Pune Airport, Yamunanagar, Dinkar Pathare Vasti, Shri Park, Thube Pathare Nagar.
