Water Supply Interruption in Pune: Maintenance Work on Feb 29, 2024, and Potential Low Pressure on March 1, 2024

Essential maintenance work scheduled for February 29, 2024, will result in a temporary shutdown of water supply to specific areas of Pune served by the Thakarsi tank and Kusmade Colony pumping facilities. Urgent structural maintenance on the Thakarsi tank and the installation of a flow meter on the Thakarsi tank line, administered by the Bhama Askhed project, are the primary reasons for the interruption.

On Thursday, February 29, 2024, residents in the following areas are advised to prepare for a temporary water supply halt:

Areas Along the Water Channel:

  5. Jadhav Wasti
  6. Vishal Area
  7. Vishrantwadi
  8. Kasturba
  9. Tingre Nagar Pump to Vishrantwadi Chowk
  10. Jai Jawan Nagar
  11. Jai Prakash Nagar
  12. Sanjay Park
  13. Pune Airport
  14. Yamuna Nagar
  15. Dinkar Pathare Vasti
  16. Parashar Society
  17. Shree Park
  18. Thube Pathare Nagar

Additionally, on Friday, March 1, 2024, there is a possibility of delayed and low-pressure water supply in the morning due to ongoing maintenance activities. Residents in the affected areas are requested to cooperate during this period of water supply interruption and low pressure.
