Violent Altercation Mars New Year Celebrations at FC Road Resto-Bar

In a shocking turn of events during New Year’s Eve celebrations, a twenty-four-year-old individual was assaulted at the Ministry of Dance restaurant & bar on FC Road in Pune. The incident unfolded when a seemingly minor mishap on the dance floor escalated into a heated dispute, culminating in the owner striking the victim with a glass bottle.

According to details obtained from the FIR, the complainant, Karan Shinde, accidentally knocked over a piece of wood on a table, sparking the confrontation. The Shivajinagar police have registered an FIR against Malhar Shivtare, Shlok Kamte, and two others associated with the Ministry of Dance establishment, in response to Shinde’s complaint.

Karan Shinde, a resident of Senapati Bapat Road, required three stitches on his head after the assault. Following the attack, he was admitted to a private hospital and has since been discharged.

The incident transpired inside the bar on January 1, around 3 am, as revelers welcomed the new year. The argument between the owner and Karan Shinde escalated quickly, leading to the violent assault with the glass bottle. Additionally, threats were reportedly made to Shinde’s friends during the confrontation.

A case has been registered under Sections 324, 34, and 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and further investigation is currently underway to uncover the full details of the incident.

This unfortunate episode raises concerns about the safety and security measures in place at such establishments during celebratory events, emphasizing the need for responsible conduct and prompt action against those who jeopardize the well-being of patrons.
