Pune, October 31, 2023: In recognition of the significance of incorporating extracurricular activities into the school curriculum, Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Ganesh Nagar, recently hosted ‘Hunar Haat,’ a platform where students unveiled their artistic talents and innovative projects.
The inauguration of ‘Hunar Haat’ was graced by Sujata Dharap, a distinguished painter, muralist, and the director of ‘Creative Club.’ The event also saw the presence of notable dignitaries, including Kushal Hegde and Malti Kalmadi, President and Secretary of Kannada Sangha, Dr. Devasena Desai, Associate Director of Kaveri Gifted Education and Research Centre, and Pallavi Naik, the Principal of Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, among others.
The event featured an impressive Art Display, showcasing a diverse range of art forms, including Paper Plate Art, Madhubani, Gond Art, Sand Paper Art, Pipli Art, Saura Art, Coffee Painting, Warli Art, Doodle Art, 2-D Design, Landscape Art, Graffiti, Illusion Art, and Abstract Art. The students’ creative talents shone through these captivating works.
However, the true highlight of ‘Hunar Haat’ was the Innovation Hub, where science projects took center stage. These projects included the Reverse Plastic Vending Machine, Aquaponics system, and the unique Plant Keyboard, where touching the leaves produced musical notes, creating the sound of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’ thanks to electric currents. These innovative projects were conceptualized, created, and presented by the students, reflecting their enthusiasm for science and technology.
In the ‘Hunar Kala Manch,’ students captivated the audience with performing arts, including dance, drama, poetry recitals, and singing. The stage came alive with the vibrant and creative expressions of the students.
To further encourage artistic talent and provide a platform for budding artists, handmade art pieces crafted and adorned by the students were available for sale, allowing the broader community to appreciate and support the students’ creative endeavors.
