Pune, September 3, 2023: Pune witnessed two heart-wrenching road accidents that resulted in the loss of precious lives. In a deeply unfortunate incident near Hadapsar, a senior citizen tragically lost his life after being struck by a speeding Bullet motorcycle. This heart-rending accident unfolded in the Lakshmi Colony area on a Friday afternoon.
The victim, Mr. Dhondiram Appa Chindhe, aged 63 and a resident of Hadapsar, was riding his motorcycle towards Lakshmi Colony when the incident occurred. He was tragically struck by a Bullet motorcycle traveling at high speed. Promptly, local residents rushed Mr. Chindhe to the hospital, but despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical treatment. The motorcyclist of the Bullet fled the scene, and a case has been registered against them at the Hadapsar police station.
In a separate incident, a collision involving a container in the Urulikanchan area on Solapur Road claimed the life of 23-year-old Mr. Shubham Ramesh Lecherud, a resident of Dalimb, Daund. His cousin, Mr. Sachin, has filed a police complaint regarding the incident. Mr. Shubham and his friend, Mr. Akash Mhaske, were walking along Solapur Road on Friday morning when they were struck by a container near Elite Chowk in Urlikanchan.
Tragically, Mr. Shubham lost his life in the accident, while Mr. Akash sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. A case has been registered against the container driver at the Lonikalbhor police station in connection with the incident.
