In a devastating incident on Thursday morning, a fatal collision occurred between a dumper and a two-wheeler near Ganga Village Society on Handewadi Road, Hadapsar, leaving the biker dead on the spot.

Eyewitnesses to the incident shared their account, revealing that the accident occurred around 11:10 am when a youth was riding a Pulsar motorcycle on Handewadi Road. Attempting to overtake a dumper that was passing through the road, the biker seemingly lost control of the motorcycle. Unfortunately, he came under the backside tire of the dumper, resulting in immediate fatality. The eyewitnesses suggested that the youth’s attempt to overtake the dumper casually might have led to the tragic accident.
Balaji Salunkhe, Assistant Police Inspector at Handewadi Traffic Division, provided additional information, stating that the accident unfolded as the biker was traveling from Hadapsar to Handewadi. Near Chintamani Nagar, an auto-rickshaw suddenly crossed the path of the motorcycle rider, forcing him to make an abrupt stop. The dumper, unable to halt in time, collided with the stationary bike. Tragically, the biker suffered fatal head injuries and died on the spot.
Salunkhe further mentioned that an ongoing investigation is being conducted to delve into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
