Loni Kalbhor, 26th June 2023: A tragic incident occurred on the Pune-Solapur highway as a speeding vehicle collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in the loss of a 34-year-old woman’s life. The victim, identified as Chhaya Suhas Jadhav, succumbed to her injuries, while her husband, Suhas Sharad Jadhav, sustained serious injuries in the accident.
The unfortunate incident took place when Suhas and Chhaya were traveling along the Pune-Solapur highway. Suddenly, a vehicle traveling at high speed collided with their two-wheeler from behind near a bridge in the Sortapwadi area. Shockingly, the driver of the speeding vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision. Both Suhas and Chhaya were rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. However, Chhaya’s injuries were severe, and she tragically lost her life before receiving treatment. Suhas, on the other hand, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing medical treatment.
In response to the incident, Renuka Salunkhe (32), Chhaya’s sister, filed a formal complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station. The police have registered a case against the unidentified driver who fled the scene after causing the accident. Police Sub-Inspector Ghodke has been assigned to investigate the case.
