According to the official police report, the unfortunate victim had ventured out with a friend for a Dhol Tasha practice session when he was forcibly taken by the assailants. They transported him to Saswad, a locality near Pune, where he was subjected to severe physical assault, ultimately resulting in his untimely death. The incident came to the attention of the authorities when the boy failed to return home late that Saturday night, prompting his concerned family to swiftly contact the police and lodge a missing person’s complaint.
As the investigation proceeded, the police team successfully located the victim’s friend, who was found to have sustained injuries.
