In a bid to facilitate the girder-laying work on the Jangli Maharaj (JM) Road Metro pedestrian bridge, the Pune Traffic Police has announced temporary changes in traffic patterns. The alterations will be in effect from February 3 to February 4, 2024, to ensure the safety and efficiency of the ongoing Maha Metro project.
According to the Pune Traffic Police, the girder-laying work on the Metro’s pedestrian bridge along Jangli Maharaj Road necessitates adjustments to traffic flow. To minimize obstructions and ensure a smooth process, specific changes will be implemented during the designated period.
The key temporary alterations are as follows:
- Closure of Jangli Maharaj Road Segment: On February 3 and February 4, 2024, from 12:01 am to 5:00 am, the section of Jangli Maharaj Road from Blackberry Showroom to Nataraj Chowk will be temporarily closed.
- Alternative Route: During the specified timeframe, motorists are advised to use an alternative route. The suggested route involves taking Krishnakant Kudale Path, turning right in front of Hotel Ramee Grand, left to Apte Road leading to Prayag Hospital, and finally, turning left to Nataraj Chowk to reach their intended destination.
This traffic adjustment aims to minimize disruptions and enhance the safety of both commuters and workers involved in the critical phase of the Maha Metro project on J M Road.
