Traffic Alert: Mumbai-Pune Expressway Faces Two-Hour Block for Gantry Installation

In a bid to enhance the Highway Traffic Management System on the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has scheduled a two-hour traffic block on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway for the installation of gantries. The key installations are set to take place at Km 10.750 (Amity University) and Km 29.200 (between Madap Tunnel and Khalapur Toll Plaza) on 21st December (Thursday).

During the specified period, from 12 pm to 2 pm, the expressway will experience a complete closure of all vehicular traffic, including both light and heavy vehicles. The MSRDC emphasizes the significance of this brief halt, as it marks a crucial phase in the implementation of advanced traffic management infrastructure.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and consider alternative routes during the specified timeframe. For those traveling from Mumbai to Pune, the diversion will begin at Shedung Fata Km 8.200. Vehicles will be rerouted via the NH4 Old Mumbai-Pune Highway to Shingroba Ghat at Magic Point Km 42.000, leading them back to the Pune Channel on the Expressway.
