Traffic Alert: 2-Hour Block on Mumbai Pune Expressway on February 1 for Gantry Installation

Mumbai, India – In a traffic advisory issued by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), commuters are informed about a scheduled two-hour block on the Mumbai Pune Expressway on February 1, from 12 pm to 2 pm. The temporary closure is necessitated by gantry installation work at specific locations on the expressway.

According to MSRDC, the gantry installation work will take place at Km 56.900, Km 63.000, and Km 73.250 on the Mumbai Channel under the Highway Traffic Management System. The maintenance and improvement efforts are aimed at enhancing the overall safety and efficiency of the expressway.

During the specified period, all types of vehicular traffic, including light and heavy vehicles, heading towards Mumbai will be temporarily closed on the affected route. To minimize inconvenience for commuters, alternative routes have been suggested by MSRDC.

Motorists traveling towards Mumbai are advised to use the Old Mumbai-Pune highway, starting from the Kiwale Bridge on the Pune to Mumbai Expressway. Additionally, vehicles coming from the old Pune to Mumbai highway will be diverted from the Kusgaon toll road onto the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
