Temporary Traffic Halt: Railway Gates Near Khadki to Close for Technical Works

In a brief but impactful disruption, commuters near the Khadki-Chinchwad railway route in Pune will face a temporary roadblock as two railway gates undergo essential technical work. Dr. Ramdas Bhise, Divisional Commercial Manager and Public Relations Officer of the Pune Railway Division, shared details of the scheduled closure.

The affected gates, numbered 62AA at railway KM 185/5-6 and 62A at railway KM 183/4-5, fall within the Khadki–Chinchwad railway route on the Pune–Lonavala railway line. The closure is slated to begin at 8:20 pm on November 25 and will persist until 6:20 pm on November 26. This timeframe is allocated for the execution of crucial electronic interlocking works.

During this period, commuters are advised to utilize subways and roads over bridges near the affected railway gates as alternative routes. The Pune Railway Division recognizes the inconvenience caused by such closures but emphasizes the necessity of these technical operations for the continued safety and efficiency of the railway network.
