Surprise Inspections: Pune Railway Division Officials Ensure Safety and Comfort for Passengers

In a proactive move aimed at ensuring passenger safety and enhancing onboard services, officials from the Pune railway division recently embarked on surprise inspections across various trains operating in the region. Led by the Divisional Railway Manager, Indu Dubey, this initiative underscores the division’s unwavering commitment to providing a seamless and comfortable travel experience for passengers.

Onboard Assessment

Assistant Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Carriage and Wagon), Prateek Titare, spearheaded the inspections, boarding train number 11077 (Pune-Jammu Tawi Jhelum Express) from Pune to Ahmednagar. The primary objective was to meticulously evaluate safety measures, assess passenger amenities, and gauge the quality of onboard services firsthand.

Prioritizing Passenger Experience

Titare emphasized the significance of gathering feedback from passengers, aiming to address their grievances effectively. Every aspect, from the timing of the journey to the condition of amenities, was scrutinized to ensure that passengers’ needs were met satisfactorily. Key areas of focus included the timely supply of linen, cleanliness standards in seating areas, lavatories, and washbasins, as well as the functionality of mobile charging points and other electrical equipment crucial for passenger comfort.
