Pune: In a significant stride toward bolstering Pune’s firefighting safety infrastructure, Shanbhag Engineering Company (SEC) and Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) jointly organized a special session at Hotel Lemon Tree Premier, Pune. The seminar, titled “Firefighting Safety for Life & Property,” delved into critical aspects of fire safety, marking a pivotal moment for the city’s safety standards.
Empowering Pune’s Fire Safety: Key Highlights: The seminar addressed crucial aspects of fire safety in a country with a growing population and increasing urbanization. With a focus on the fire safety industry and laws in India, the event emphasized the importance of continued investments in equipment and infrastructure to ensure the safety of citizens in both urban and rural habitats.
Industry Collaboration for Quality and Compliance: Firefighting agencies were urged to prioritize the highest quality, technically robust products compliant with national and state-level norms and building codes. The Fire Contractors & Consultants Association, Pune, extended its support to the event, highlighting the collaborative effort required for enhancing fire safety standards.
Insights from KBL Leadership: Mr. Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman & Managing Director of Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), addressed the seminar as the Guest of Honour. He provided insights into KBL’s rich history, the range of trusted pumps manufactured by the company, and the innovative technologies employed. Ms. Rama Kirloskar, Joint Managing Director of KBL, emphasized the passion for delivering quality pump sets and stressed the importance of E-warranties for reliable functioning.
Expertise Shared by PMC’s Chief Fire Officer: The Chief Guest, Mr. Devendra Potphode, Chief Fire Officer of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), shared insights into proper pump selection and overall fire system design. He highlighted the significance of workshops for training in the installation and maintenance of fire-fighting pump sets.
Interactive Session and Technological Advancements: Over 300 customers participated in the seminar, engaging with each other and gaining knowledge about KBL’s innovative solutions for the fire-fighting market. Mr. Benjamin Samuel, General Manager & Head – Building & Construction Sector, KBL, discussed new internet-based technologies and pump products, offering superior solutions and best practices for the Building & Construction Industry.
